Materialized: 2020 MFA Alumni Exhibition

MassArt x SoWa is pleased to present Materialized: 2020 MFA Alumni Exhibition, on view from June 11 - July 18, 2020. Featuring the work of ten 2020 MassArt MFA alumni, Materialized showcases new work as well as select highlights from the ten artists’ MFA theses, presented fully virtually in May of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

29th Annual Emerald Coast National Juried Fine Arts Exhibition

Artists may submit up to 3 works of art, and the Best-in-Show, first-place winner not only receives $1000, but is also given the opportunity to host a solo exhibition in our Holzhauer Gallery, adjacent to next year’s 30th Emerald Coast National.

Large Outdoor Sculpture Call for Entries

Juried Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Four locations around the City of Fredericksburg, VA have been selected for the display of public sculpture from October 2021 to September 2022. Liability insurance provided. A stipend of $2000. Artist is responsible for delivery and removal.

A National Juried Exhibition. OPAL is looking for work that best demonstrates the artist’s use of materials and mastery of skill in their chosen medium.

The Magic Silver Show: Photomedia Exhibition 2021

The Clara M. Eagle Gallery is now accepting entries for “The Magic Silver Show: The Elena Diane Curris Juried Photography Exhibition.” The Magic Silver Show began in the mid 1970’s as a juried exhibition designed to encourage, foster understanding, and reward those involved in photographic media. This exhibition will present a survey of contemporary photo media in all aspects and genres of photography, film, video, and moving image.

July Open Studio with Laurie Savage

Open to intermediate students and above. Bring your ideas of what you would like to create to this hands-on class. You will spend one-on-one time with Laurie as she helps you advance your skills set as you navigate from an idea to completion.

The $80 class fee includes a $5 Studio fee.

Visual Arts Alliance 37th Juried Open Exhibition

A maximum of four (4) entries may be submitted. Artwork may be created from any media, in both 2-D and 3-D. Video works are not accepted. Work must not have been previously included in a VAA exhibit.

Drawing Together: Watercolors with Lauren Gooding

Museum Attendant Lauren Gooding '22 will lead us on a watercolor journey! We’ll learn how to paint using still lifes as our subject. Whether you’re a watercolor novice or a pro, this still-life study will help hone your skill and sharpen your eye to see color, composition, and shape.

The Dance Complex celebrates our heritage as a home to our diverse and eclectic Boston Dance Community with the eighth annual Festival of Us, You, We & Them; inviting the community at large to sample new movement styles, engage in conversation, and witness and interact with performances- each participant taking a deeper step into their journey as a moving body and into our community.

Studio Montclair: Inspired by an Object

This exhibition is the fourth in SMI’s Community Partnership Exhibition Program created by cofounder and past president Virginia S. Block. The partnership aims to reach out to other nonprofit organizations each year to create a collaborative exhibition designed to inspire our members, create new connections, and reach new audiences.
