Reawakening: Opening Eyes Embracing New Vision

CorkHouse is pleased to announce a call for the Spring exhibition in our Studio Gallery. We’ve had a wonderful response to our 2nd Annual Small Works Exhibition, which will run from March 1st to April 30th. The May/June Exhibition will be REAWAKENING: OPENING EYES EMBRACING NEW VISION! The interpretation of this event is open – it could reflect Spring & renewal, our planet post-Covid, or our new political reality in the US! Unlike the small works show, we are looking for one entry per artist, although you can submit up to three works for consideration. Maximum size would be 864 square inches (24”x36” as an example), with no minimum size. Unless you are local to the Savannah GA area please remember that you will be responsible for shipping to and from the gallery. There is no entry fee, but those selected will pay a $30 fee ($20 for a two month membership fee, and $10 for a two month exhibition fee). Deadline for submission is April 7, 2021, Exhibition opens May 3 and closes June 27.
At this time we must limit to submissions from the U.S. Only.

And for our Savannah area kids – we are planning a concurrent show, which will embrace SPRING AWAKENING, as reflected in music with “We Hear Our Earth Sing”. Each child can create a work of art that embraces their vision/interpretation of one of four songs you will hear on a special Earth Day broadcast by Rocking Chairs Media on WRUU Radio on Tuesday, April 6 at 4 pm. The young artists’ show will hang in our new Collaborative Studio, adjacent to the Studio Gallery, and will be viewed with the adult collection as one show! The deadline for submission of your artwork will be: Friday April 23. There are no fees for entry or exhibition for the children’s show. The exhibit will run from May 3rd to June 27th, with an opening reception on Friday, May 7th, from 6-8pm! For questions or more info, email: musicinmypaintbrush@gmail.com.
