History Through the Artist’s Eye

Call Description:
The Stamford Art Association (SAA) and The Stamford History Center (SHC) have partnered to create a special event looking at the broad perspective of how history is represented in the artist’s work, i.e., how an artist uses history -personal or communal – to inform their work.
Entry Instructions:
ELIGIBILITY
Each artist submitting work to the exhibit should provide artwork that follows the theme of the exhibit. Work that is considered offensive to gender, race, religion will not be accepted. Each artist can submit up to 5 pieces.
Criteria: Artists should submit original work that has not been shown before at the SAA gallery or SAA sponsored exhibitions (except for the Faber Birren show.) Except for photographs, prints of any kind (lithographs, etchings, computer generated art etc.) should be signed and numbered as a limited edition. Giclees will not be accepted
Deadline for Entry. Sunday, June 13, 2021, by Midnight. Artists will be notified of acceptance by June 20, 2021 on the Stamford Art Association website www.stamfordartassociation.org under Opportunities, Call for Artists, Learn More.
Receiving. June 25-26, 2021, 9am-12pm at Stamford History Center, 1508 High Ridge Road, Stamford CT.
